Book a taxi from Guwahati to Shillong.
Here are my suggestions of the places to be covered:
Shillong – Cherrapunjee Full Day Tour:
Cherrapunjee,
which is locally known as Sohra, waterfalls and striking limestone
caves. Elephant Falls. Mawkdok Dympep Valley and Mawkdok Bridge, Wah
Kaba Falls, Mawsmai Caves, one among the 100 odd limestone caves in
Meghalaya, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Seven Sisters Falls
(Noh-Kalikai), Eco Park and in the evening you will be dropped you to
the hotel in Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Dawki River – Mawlynnong Village Tour:
the
transparent Umngot River in Dawki which is around 81 km from Shillong
and takes about 2.5 hours drive. You can do boating in the crystal clear
water at Dawki. Thereafter visit Bangladesh Border and experience the
beautiful landscape of Bangladesh. In the evening you will be dropped to
your hotel in Shillong. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Cherrapunjee Excursion Trip:
Mawkdok
Dympep Valley and Mawkdok Bridge also known as Duwan Sing Syiem Bridge,
where you can stop for some time and get the glimpse of the Mawkdok.
Wakaba Falls, Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sister Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Eco
Park and other beautiful places.
Dainthlen Falls, Wei saw dong falls and caving:
Dainthlen
Falls which is approximately 10kms from Cherrapunji. Legend goes that
the people of the land killed a big snake called ‘Thlen’ that lived in
the cave nearby. The rock carvings seen here of the snake are said to
represent the symbols of evil and greed. As it is a soft waterfall, you
may not hear the roaring sounds of water falling but still the
atmosphere is electrifying and the breathtaking views are a treat to
your eyes. Then, move to Wei Sawdong Falls which is 1 km away from
Dainthlen falls.
You can customize the places as per your choice.
